According to China's MII (Ministry of Information Industry), Chinese handset users will reach 390 million in 2005 and 440 million in 2006, while fixed-line users will amount to 350 million and 380 million for 2005 and 2006, respectively. Among the mobile service subscribers, 66.8% use China Mobile's services, 24.6% subscribe to China Unicom's GSM service, and 8.6% to China Unicom's CDMA service. For fixed-line users, China Telecom accounts for 60.9%, China Netcom for 34.6%, and China Railcom for 4.4%.
